Over 40 Rwandan traditional dancers from ISANGANO culture troupe thrilled Canadians in the World Rhythms Festival held 11th September 2005 at Parc Palace du Canada, The New Times entertainment reporter has established. A source in Canada told this reporter that the Troupe has been working around the clock to promote the Rwandan culture through their performance and so far it has reached most parts of the country.

Valérie Dubreuil, the director of communication for the World Rhythms Festival confirmed their participation in the festival.
Dubreuil confirmed INSANGANO’s performance in the Cultural Harmony Day. The Cultural Harmony Day is part of the events organized to celebrate the annual World Rhythms Festival, which is basically perceived as an outdoor event for families. The Cultural Harmony Day includes music, art, food and workshop for children among other items.
“They contacted us and we were very happy to include them in our festival because they represent our mission of harmony of culture,” Dubreuil told the local entertainment reporter through email.
The festival that took five days kicked-off on 7th September 2005 included rhythms from Asia, Europe, Africa, America and wound up with Cultural Harmony Day that saw young men and women from Rwanda that makes up ISANGANO Troupe.
The Troupe that was founded in 1999 has a mission of marketing Rwanda’s culture beyond the territorial borders.
This Troupe is among other Troupes that Rwandans should be proud of for promoting their culture on the international scene.
However, our reporter’s efforts to contact the Troupe’s leader were fruitless.
