Yanick
Dutelly
Le va et vient - June
19th, 2004
Born at Port-au-Prince (Haiti), Yanick
Dutelly started
singing very early. As an adolescent, she took an active
part in cultural events at her parish. Yanick was initiated
to traditional Haitian dance and made her debut in theatre
and singing. She played in Antigone de Jean Anouilh.
Music was her only hobby. Her adolescent passion; Ferrat,
Ferré, Brel, Barbara. They were numerous to predict
careers for this young girl with the troubling voice.
Very quickly noticed by Jean Dominique, Director of Radio
Haiti, she was hired as an announcer. During the same
time, she recorded diverse jingles for Radio Haiti and
Radio Métropole.
