MacFinn
Le va et vient - June 14th, 2004

From the hills of Donegal to the streets of Montreal, from the Shetlands of Scotland to the shores of Cape Breton, from Acadian provincial highways to the Appalachian trails, Celtic music and survived, thrived, and evolved.

The legendary giant of Irish mythology, Fionn MacCumhaill (Finn MacCool), this band's namesake, crossed the “Giant’s Causeway” from Antrim, Ireland to Staffa, Scotland. Like Fionn the giant, MacFinn the band builds musical bridges seeking to harmonize traditional values with modern day influences. Gentle airs, marches and strathspeys give way to rocking reels with slapping base lines and steady rhythm. Add a sprinkle of song, step dance, and Guinness (mostly Guinness), and the menu for a MacFinn show is complete. Fun. Intense. Enjoy.
