The concert will present an exotic combination of Jazz repertoire and Arabic instrumentation in an unexpected collection of original song repertoire. Their repertoire ventures dazzling forays into innovative creativity, witty selections, bravado tunes and tender masterpieces. Several numbers push the limits of jazz and moving into exotic variations blending touches of pop, sultry cabaret, torchy jazz, with Arabic flavors and instruments.

The Bassalindos compose and perform their original music .The delightful selections are wistful to amusing, inspiring to enrapturing, playful to profound. They radiate a sincerity and integrity, a living tribute to the power of music which transcends race, religion and politics and appeals to what is common to humankind: love, life, hope and the soul. Talented musicians from both rich traditions will play side by side, each contributing their own distinct brilliance to this thrilling and unique interchange of musical textures and colors.

All will be tinted with the dynamism and ever vital mysterious Arabic pulse in a nuanced musical tag between East and West.

The concert will reflect the unique heritage and musical path taken by the fascinating diva born in Canada of pure Middle Eastern heritage and trained as an opera singer.
